A Trail Rider
Almost
eight years ago I began riding my Rusty Taylor Gaited Horse Saddle by Simco.
I loved it then and I love it now. In 2004 my wife and I moved to Columbia,
South Carolina and ended up with 15 acres in Camden in an area known as Hunt
Country. The property is held in trust for equestrian activities and totals
some 5,000 acres. The terrain is much different from that of Tennessee. We
live in an area that is referred to as the Sand Hills which means the soil
is mostly made up of sand. How grass and trees grow in it is a mystery to
me, but I must say the Palmetto State grows on you. We have a great place
to ride through piney woods and open pastures. It is hot here now and most
of our riding is done in the morning.
We
still have six head of pleasure stock. Four registered Tennessee Walkers,
Suger our sweet walking mule, and a new addition, Smokey, a Paso/Walker cross.
He has just turned three and is making a nice little trail horse.
I
can't express how much I still enjoy my Simco Rusty Taylor Trail Saddles.
They are extremely comfortable for me and my horse buddies and they have held
up well during the nearly eight years I have been riding them. My friends
who have bought them like them as much as I do.
As I have stated before, if you want a saddle that is comfortable for you and your horse, one that will last, and is reasonably priced, I recommend the Simco Rusty Taylor Gaited Horse Saddle. I was in Fort Worth, Texas about a month ago and I saw some outstanding saddles. One was priced at $12,000 and I must say it was beautiful. I told the man, "I don't think all 6 of my horses would bring $12,000 in today's market, what kind of horse do you put this saddle on?" He said with a smile, "You put that saddle on a $60,000 horse." I say more power to whoever can do that. But let me close by saying, the Simco Rusty Taylor Gaited Horse Saddle works very well for trail and pleasure riding!
Have a fun and safe summer on your horse!
