What's the value of my saddle?
Unfortunately, there is no way for us to be able to give
a current value to older saddles. There are too many variables
involved that would prevent us from giving an accurate assessment
of the value. Values will vary in different parts of the
country. The best thing to do would be to take it to a couple
of local shops and get it appraised by a local retailer.
When was my saddle made?
Over the years, as ownership and management of Simco/Longhorn
has changed, so have the procedures for dating the saddles
during production. The current way of identifying and dating
our saddles is as follows. Model numbers for saddles are
usually located on the tie carrier, however, some may be
located on the backside of the cantle. Manufacture date
and serial numbers should be located on the skirt and can
be found by lifting the onside jockey & fender. And, by
looking way up underneath, there may be some numbers stamped
on the skirt. These numbers may be in order by month and
year. (i.e.: 107 - would stand for January of 2007) Serial
numbers may vary in length from 3-5 digits. (Our apologies
as some saddles may not have a manufacturer date or serial
number on them.) If you don't find a date stamp on the skirt,
write us at info1@simcolonghorn.com
and be sure to include the model number. Without the model
number, we will not be able to identify your saddle. Also,
please don't send us a description of the saddle as we will
not be able to search by description.
How do I measure my saddle?
Different people measure things differently. We have a diagram
we use in referring to how to measure different parts of
the saddle and also how many of the saddle parts are identified.

I've got a problem with my Simco or Longhorn saddle. What do I do?
For all problems with one of our saddles, you will need to take it back
to the dealer you purchased it from. If the dealer is not able to take
care of the problem, they will contact us to see what needs to be done to
fix the problem. If the dealer is no longer in business, please contact
us directly.
What's the warranty on my saddle?
All saddles have a 5 year warranty on the tree only. The warranty applies
to the original owner only. Warranty does not cover damage to the tree
due to misuse, carelessness or accidents.
